What is a Digital Legacy?
Everyone has a digital footprint. It’s a trail of personal information generated from use of the Internet over one’s lifetime. It may include social media accounts, information collected about us and shared online (whether voluntarily or involuntarily), and even personal information stolen or leaked on the dark web. This becomes a “Digital Legacy” when someone passes away.
Why is this a concern?
If left unmanaged at the time of death, our online exposure can become a painful remainder of loss, a time-consuming liability to manage, or worse a very real threat vector for identity theft, or fraud committed posthumously.
A partner to help you
We know that loved ones, families, estate, and executors of the recently deceased often don’t have the ability or time to effectively inventory and remediate the individual’s online presence.
We are here to help you gather the information you need to make the best decisions for the estates you serve.
